Who am I?
I like to think of myself as a creative family/individual historian, Capturing and preserving moments of time that might otherwise slip away. I've loved making pictures since I took my first photography class in high school. I bought an old Minolta x35 and bugged everyone in school. I took photographs for the yearbook, and started a lifelong love for the artform. I have photographed and studied many different subjects, scenes, and moments. I really enjoy beauty/modeling shoots and individual portraits... sometimes to my brides dismay ;-)
Photography is not about talking a picture. You can do that with a phone. It is about seeing a memory as it happens. About capturing that moment. Stopping time. Understanding lighting. How to use it and how to take it away.
